Industrial Safety Inspections - Oversight

The Challenge

In public and commercial settings various safety systems are required by law to be inspected regularly. A company that performs these inspections of fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems needed a more systematic process for scheduling those inspections and a way to ensure that inspections are actually taking place and taking place as required.

The inspection goals were:

To maintain a record of all safety inspections of fire suppression equipment and systems.
To monitor inspectors’ movements from client location to client location in real-time.
To provide inspectors with guidelines for the inspection of the various systems and related regulations that require attention.

Each Client is assigned a unique Sparrow QR Code marker that is placed at a specific location at the client’s facility.
Each inspection point (fire extinguisher, emergency exit, fire suppression system, emergency light) is assigned a unique Sparrow QR Code marker.
Inspectors scan the Sparrow Client marker upon arrival and are provided with information regarding the various registered inspection points at that location.
As each inspection point marker is scanned, the inspector is provided with information about the inspection point and a form that allows them to add to the historical record of the inspection point.
