The Challenge
A landscaping company runs multiple crews to multiple customers on a daily basis to perform general
lawn care and snow removal. They need better tracking of which crews are working at which customer
locations, the time spent at each job, time spent in route to each customer (to optimize routes),
be more operationally efficient and more profitable.
The Landscaping Company's goals were:
- To maintain a record of which crews are working at which customer locations on which days.
- To optimize crew routes to reduce non-billable time between customer locations.
- To provide management with job cost assessments to assist in future sales estimates for new
customers.
- To provide customers with automated alerts that indicate when crews arrive and leave their
property.
- To utilize management reports to be more accurate in customer billing, employee time attendance
and payroll record keeping.
